2024 OFFICIAL RAFFLE RULES
1. Entries will be sold to individuals (referred to as raffle supporter) at the time of purchase. To be eligible to win a prize, individuals must have purchased the entry ticket. Entries may not be assigned, transferred, or sold either before or after the drawing. For the 2024 raffle, after five thousand (5,000) entries are sold the raffle shall be closed and considered fully sold and sold out. No additional raffle entries shall be sold after this number has been attained. All entries received by the date and time of the raffle will be accepted into the raffle.
2. The price of each raffle entry is $25.00 USD with a discount when five (5) entries are purchased. For each group of five (5) tickets a discount will be made whereby the purchase price for five (5) tickets is $100.00 USD. The discount shall apply only to purchases of five (5) entry tickets and even multiples of five. There are no other discounts applicable to the purchase of entry tickets. Transfer fees associated with electronic entry tickets shall be borne by the party who is initially charged the fee. Neither the raffle sponsor nor the raffle supporter shall charge or seek reimbursement for bank, credit card or other transfer/processing fee for the payment of raffle entry tickets. No entry tickets will be sent to purchasers; however entries will be confirmed via email. Subject to the total entries available, there is no limit to the number of entries a raffle supporter may purchase.
3. No person under the age of 18 years of age may purchase a raffle entry or receive any prize.
4. A raffle supporter who has purchased one or more entry tickets does not have to be present at the drawing to be eligible to win a price. Any entry purchaser may attend the drawing.
5. Entry purchases may be made in cash, by certified funds/personal check or via credit card on line at www.hope4thehomelessAZ.com. All payments for entries must be made in US funds.
6. The winner will be notified in person either by being present at the time of the raffle or via email or by telephone. The winner’s name will be announced at the time of the raffle and may be posted on the raffle sponsor’s website.
7. No raffle entries will be sold after the raffle begins. Requests for entries received up to that date and time will be entered into the raffle. Entry requests will be subject to acceptance by members and managers of the raffle sponsor.
8. In the event fewer than the number of raffle tickets listed in paragraph 1 above is sold the raffle will proceed regardless of the number of entry actually sold.
9. The primary raffle prize subject to the raffle and these Rules will be a vehicle and will be transferred to the raffle winner within seven (7) days after the raffle and will be transferred without representation or warranty. The winner will be responsible for all licensing, registration, taxes, fees, duties, insurance and other costs. The raffle sponsor specifically disclaims any and all express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, regarding the raffle prize.
10. Unless prohibited by law, the raffle winner may substitute a cash price in the amount of ten thousand USD ($10,000) in lieu of taking possession of the primary raffle prize. Any election to take the cash prize must be made within seven (7) days after the raffle drawing or the option shall expire without any further notice by the raffle sponsor.
11. The raffle winner is responsible for all applicable local, state and federal taxes including all sales, use, luxury and income taxes. All prizes will be subject to federal tax withholding of 25% or the then applicable rate in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law. The raffle sponsor may elect to collect and submit the withholding on behalf of the winner prior to delivery of the primary raffle prize.
12. All requests for entries must be submitted on an official entry form which is available on the raffle sponsor website www.hope4thehomelessAZ.com. Entry forms may be reproduced. All entry forms must be submitted by mail to the raffle sponsor mailed to 3961 E. Chandler Blvd. Suite 111-363 Phoenix, AZ 85048, or via online at the raffle sponsor website.
13. The winner will be selected at a random drawing from all eligible entries to be conducted at the Fall Car Show sponsored by the raffle sponsor held the last Saturday of November. The decision of the raffle sponsor as to the raffle winner shall be final and binding in all respects. The winning entry will be drawn from a container in which all eligible entry stubs purchased for the drawing will be mixed. Each entry stub will have an equal chance of being drawn.
14. Officers and Board Members of the raffle sponsor and individuals living in the same households as Officers and Board Members, including immediate family members, spouses, dependent and adult children living in the household, siblings, and parents are not eligible to enter or to win prizes.
15. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the raffle sponsor to use the winner’s name, likeness and photograph in any publicity in all media including the Internet and social media channels without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.
16. By participating in the raffle, participants agree to be bound by these Office Rules.
17. This raffle is sponsored by Hope for the Homeless, Inc. an Arizona non-profit corporation 3961 E. Chandler Blvd. Suite 111-363 Phoenix, AZ 85048. The entire proceeds of the raffle shall be used and devoted exclusively to the lawful purposes of Hope for the Homeless, Inc.
